Fall 2022 Fibre Soiree

Fibre Soiree Luncheon

I stopped in at Snow Valley Ski Lodge on Labour Day to answer your questions live on Facebook. It was a lovely evening of late summer sunshine after a walk in Whitemud Creek.

If you haven't had the privilege of visiting Whitemud Creek, I'd recommend planning to make a day of your luncheon visit to Snow Valley, and hop across Rainbow Valley Road to hike or stroll through what my family lovingly calls "the enchanted forest." While you may be a stone's throw from Whitemud Drive, the trees envelope you, and you feel as though you're wending your way through a boreal forest. Catch glimpes of muskrats and beavers in the creek, or feed chickadees and nuthatches bird seed (come prepared) right from your hand!

Of course, as I mention in the video, the main attraction is Tanya Harnett, a skilled artist whose work includes fibre art, and who will be doing a fascinating interactive talk on the artistic process.

You won't want to miss out on the opportunity to take home one of the unique kits we've curated this time, either. Each modality has a unique twist to the offering in it. I wish I could say more without spoiling the surprise!

Ticket deadlines are approaching quickly, so snap yours up before they're gone.

  • VIRTUAL TICKET DEADLINE: September 15
  • IN-PERSON TICKET DEADLINE: September 25

See you there!

XO,

Holly
